The band has been performing in the Oslo concert scene since 2017, initially as a roots and folk band. Their first EP titled "Life Machine" was released on May 4th 2018, with the lead single "Pixie Lady" receiving air play. the FOLLOWING years they released a string of singles that intended to make up an album. These singles include audience favorites like "Doll", "Patience" and "Blameless Land".
Over the said course of years the crew found themselves in a new formation. They also went on to develop a more distinct style based on a wider variety of inspirational input. THey chopped it up, tore the rest to pieces and without knowing it they had effectively
muddled the mid.
Picture a brit pop band if they had brought along a fiddle player and a variety of cd's from the disco era, 60's folk revival and grunge movement to play on the tour bus stereo.
In the fall of 2021, they Released the ep "sublimation".
From here ambrosius aims to summon the boldness of the individual. Just as well they transpose an auditive landscape just a tad bit preferable to the outer mess of a world we live in. exposure therapy and escapism at the same time, quite a fusion, right?
In February 2023 the band signed a record deal with the Norwegian label FAJo Music. they then SET out to record their long anticipated debut album "pathways" that following summer.
Where the name itself originates from the antiquities, Ambrosius is more than a name. It is a concept Deeply rooted in the popular cultural canon.
most non-sellout non-suckers would refrain from claiming such inspiratory approach, right? ambrosius happen to believe that this is the sound that will persist, the sound of the past, future and present.
This web site is a testament to that new way of approaching their musical ambitions.
If you pay close attention you might discover auditory trinkets and melodical treasures in ambrosius' catalog that just might elevate your sense of meaning and belonging in the world.
And as that bositerous announcement has officially made it out to the world wide web (which could be said to be a part of the real world), We consider it more interesting for you to actually have a listen to our stuff, you know, check it out for yourself. Don't trust people's words too much, not even the words of those taking pride in being callous for the sake of so called honesty and truth. That's usually just as much a pile of shit as any cerubic statement.
Quite a few people have shown their liking to the bundle of songs that the album "Pathways" constitutes, we do enjoy them, and if you happen to do so yourself, We would love for you to rock up at our concerts to get an augmented version of the spectacle.
So long for now, see you out in the fields!
